So. Because this would have been one of the longest lists you’d ever have read here on WordPress, I decided that it would be so much easier to just give you the Spotify playlist for you to listen to directly.
For the year of 2017 I aimed to find a song every day, whether it was a new one I discovered, featured in a soundtrack of a movie I watched, was blasted on the radio while my friends and I were on a drive, or had any sort of significance for that particular day. I added all of these songs to a playlist that I probably listen to the most frequently out of all the playlists that I have on my Spotify account.
I listen to this so much, and nearly every time a song comes on, I am almost always reminded of the day it is linked to and the reasoning behind it being placed in the playlist. It’s a great way for me to remember 2017 and I’m definitely going to be creating one for 2018, which is drawing ridiculously closer and closer. Obviously I still have a few days of 2017 left to add to, but if you follow me on Spotify you can follow this playlist and check out the songs that just make the cut for this year!
There were definitely days when I just forgot. In fact, there were whole weeks that I forgot to add any songs, so of course there were times when I had to think back to each day, or just add a few to get back on track, number wise. There were also several days when I would note the song down on my phone for a few days and then add them all in at once sometime later. It was a commitment thing. I’m still working on that.
I’m not gonna even attempt and explain each and every song, because not only do I really, really don’t want to have to write that out, but I am positive you guys honestly don’t want to have to read all of that. So, here you go, hopefully you enjoy this playlist! (Just a tip: there’s only 200 songs made visible on WordPress, so if you want to see all the songs that made the cut this year, head on over to my Spotify).
Yes, the fact that I still haven’t learnt how to centre Spotify playlists properly angers me just as much as it annoys you.
